Special Investigative Unit

Special Investigative Unit (SIU) is a case management module that works with Beacon’s Compliance Manager (BCM). SIU supports workflows for managing the investigation of potential Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA) cases. The module comes with standard workflows that are easy to customize to the plan’s workflows and letters, either by modifying the standard workflows and letters or building plan-specific workflows and letters. SIU’s medical waste and abuse software includes centralized records retention of all cases. Once implemented, plans can identify trends proactively, close operational performance gaps, and monitor all compliance events regardless of line of business.
